Stupid lag is stupid :(

Looks like this Norwegian troop needs to check his internet connection. I can't wait to hear what his commander has to say about the incident: "I'm sorry, soldier, you have been degraded to campaign mode"

He's still lucky this was only a flashbang, though.

Call of Duty: Black Ops playable in 3D

Publisher Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops, which will be released november 9th, will be playable in 3D on all platforms. Players need a 3D-monitor and special glasses, though.

Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch, said this October 5th:
"Development of stereoscopic 3D began as an R&D project, but once we saw what the technology brought to the Call of Duty experience, what a great fit and how immersive it was, we knew that we had to develop it for Black Ops. Aiming down the sights of your weapons, flying in helicopters, rappelling down mountains, and moving through highly detailed environments are just some of the awesome experiences you will have in 3D with Black Ops."

Looks like it's just another feature we'll be looking forward to for the next month. Sadly, playing this gamemode requires the player to buy new hardware. For console versions, a 3D-tv is needed. The PC-version needs to use Nvidia's 3D Vision. This means that a 120Hz-screen is required, just as a pretty good video card, because framerate will decrease by half when Nvidia's 3D Vision is in use.

A FAQ and more information about 3D-support is provided by the website of Call of Duty.

In Soviet Russia...

Truckdrivers have skills.

IMPRESSIVE. By Jeb Corliss.

Wingsuit-videos seem to be popular these days, but that doesn't make this video less awesome!

And by the way: Is the statue Jeb Corliss flies by at 1:29 a sculpture of Christ who is basejumping?

U3-X: Like a segway, but better!

It looks like the Japanese did it again: they have invented an awesome way of transport. The device made by Honda is controlled in the same way as a segway, but the U3-X can also move sideways, is very compact and has a handle to lift it up easily. Drawback: the U3-X only has battery power for up to one hour of use and it weighs about 22 pounds (10 kilograms), making it quite heavy to carry around all the time.

I still have a question, though. Are the women in the video included with the U3-X or do you have to buy them separately?

Activision: "Black Ops Zombies are confirmed!"

Just like Call of Duty: WaW, Black Ops will include a zombie game mode! Video game publisher Activision has confirmed the zombie mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops in a press release.

“Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops,” says Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. “We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.”

Earlier this week, clues about the game mode were found, though this is not the only game mode that was introduced. Activision has also confirmed "Combat Training", a co-op game mode in which up to six players can participate.

Treyarch has edited four co-op maps from predecessor World at War as well, but they will only be added to the Hardened edition and Prestige edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Superman?!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It's flying squirrelman! And he's flying past mountains! You don't believe me? See for yourself.

Note his skills at 3:24. WOW.
