Stupid lag is stupid :(

Looks like this Norwegian troop needs to check his internet connection. I can't wait to hear what his commander has to say about the incident: "I'm sorry, soldier, you have been degraded to campaign mode"

He's still lucky this was only a flashbang, though.

Call of Duty: Black Ops playable in 3D

Publisher Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops, which will be released november 9th, will be playable in 3D on all platforms. Players need a 3D-monitor and special glasses, though.

Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch, said this October 5th:
"Development of stereoscopic 3D began as an R&D project, but once we saw what the technology brought to the Call of Duty experience, what a great fit and how immersive it was, we knew that we had to develop it for Black Ops. Aiming down the sights of your weapons, flying in helicopters, rappelling down mountains, and moving through highly detailed environments are just some of the awesome experiences you will have in 3D with Black Ops."

Looks like it's just another feature we'll be looking forward to for the next month. Sadly, playing this gamemode requires the player to buy new hardware. For console versions, a 3D-tv is needed. The PC-version needs to use Nvidia's 3D Vision. This means that a 120Hz-screen is required, just as a pretty good video card, because framerate will decrease by half when Nvidia's 3D Vision is in use.

A FAQ and more information about 3D-support is provided by the website of Call of Duty.

In Soviet Russia...

Truckdrivers have skills.

IMPRESSIVE. By Jeb Corliss.

Wingsuit-videos seem to be popular these days, but that doesn't make this video less awesome!

And by the way: Is the statue Jeb Corliss flies by at 1:29 a sculpture of Christ who is basejumping?

U3-X: Like a segway, but better!

It looks like the Japanese did it again: they have invented an awesome way of transport. The device made by Honda is controlled in the same way as a segway, but the U3-X can also move sideways, is very compact and has a handle to lift it up easily. Drawback: the U3-X only has battery power for up to one hour of use and it weighs about 22 pounds (10 kilograms), making it quite heavy to carry around all the time.

I still have a question, though. Are the women in the video included with the U3-X or do you have to buy them separately?

Activision: "Black Ops Zombies are confirmed!"

Just like Call of Duty: WaW, Black Ops will include a zombie game mode! Video game publisher Activision has confirmed the zombie mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops in a press release.

“Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops,” says Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. “We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.”

Earlier this week, clues about the game mode were found, though this is not the only game mode that was introduced. Activision has also confirmed "Combat Training", a co-op game mode in which up to six players can participate.

Treyarch has edited four co-op maps from predecessor World at War as well, but they will only be added to the Hardened edition and Prestige edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Superman?!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It's flying squirrelman! And he's flying past mountains! You don't believe me? See for yourself.

Note his skills at 3:24. WOW.

COD Black Ops: Smileys on guns?!

The official multiplayer teaser for Call Of Duty: Black Ops has been released for a while now, but for all the people who missed it, here it is!

The game looks VERY promising. I'm especially interested in the 'ballictic knife', let's just hope that knifing is not as overpowered as in MW2. Map locations that have been confirmed include:

- Vietnam
- Cuba
- The Arctic
- Laos
- Russia
   And maybe more...

The video below is an extensive review of the multiplayer teaser. Awesome!

What do you think of Call Of Duty: Black Ops now that you've seen this awesomeness?

"Why should I wear a seatbelt?!"

"Seatbelts are lame!"

That's what the guy in the video must have been thinking. Until now.

Looks like he has got what he deserved. Sleeping behind the wheel without a seatbelt and cars don't go together, you know (his eyes are closed at 0:07). Especially not when you're being videotaped at the same time!

To be honest, this video made me laugh. And I don't know why. Maybe it's because of the expression the dude makes when he tries to keep control of the steering wheel. Maybe it's because of the epic anti-gravity forces that throw him around the car. Maybe it's because in the end, it seems like he's glued to the roof. Or maybe it's because he manages to get his head in the ONLY part of the cars interior that is crushed. What do you think?

Ships have all the fun...

Ever wondered how all those huge ships were put into the sea? This is how:

There must be a better way to put boats in the water, right? Like... Lifting them up with a helicopter or using Justin Biebers fairy powers? I dont know. Actually, I shouldn't be joking about this video, because this is the way I enter the swimming pool all the time! Without the tsunami of waves, of course. Or well... Never mind.

HP Slate: iPad ripoff?

HP has developed a new Tablet-Pc, the Hp Slate, and has pretty much copied the iPad. Or has it? Take a look at the short demo video.

Looks pretty much identical to the iPad right? Especially the way the user scrolls through music albums. What are the differences?

The Slate and the iPad have just about identical screens. Both are multitouch, and have an ambient light sensor. The iPad has a slightly better resolution (1024 * 768 for the iPad to 1024 * 600 for the Slate), but the Slate has pen support.

The Slate has a faster processor (1.6 GHz Intel Atom Menlow 2530) than the iPad (1 GHz Apple A4), and combined with the ability to upgrade storage using an SD-card gives the Slate a big advantage.

Both the devices have WiFi and bluetooth. Two variations of both will be sold, one with 3G and one without. Both have a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is always nice, though the Slate has a USB port which can also be very useful! The Slate also has a VGA webcam on the screen-side and a 3 megapixel camera on the rear.

The iPad has a huge battery advantage: up to 10 hours using-time which is a lot compared to the small 5 hours on the Slate.

Other differences include the difference in operating system and price: Windows 7 Home Premium for the Slate and iPhone OS 3.2 for the iPad. It will be a guess if Windows is a good operating system for the Slate, given its bad reputation. The Slate will be priced around $549 and $599 and the iPad costs between $499 and $829, depending on the model.

What do you think: has HP copied the iPad? Comment!

RIP iPhone?

Don't you think your iPhone is getting old? Your waiting is over! Well... Partially.

Mozilla has been developing a new concept mobile phone, called the Mozilla Seabird. And it's super awesome.

When I saw the video for the first time, the first few seconds I was like: Meh. No big deal. I didn't like the phones design. The bottom part looks like it will break off immediately.
But then the music kicked in.
Then they made a close up of the phone.
Then the Android user interface was displayed. (With Firefox!)
Then the Dual Pico Projectors came into view. Wait...

Dual Pico Projectors? What? Projectors on a mobile phone? Like on the Samsung Beam? Does that make sense? Yes it does.
Unlike other projectors, this projector is actually used to gather input for the device (like a keyboard) rather than displaying output (like a movie). And it is said to provide "notebook-style interaction". The projectors are also one of the reasons for the phones strange design: to correctly display a keyboard on a surface, the projector needs to be somewhat elevated.

Another cool feature is the "embedded bluetooth dongle", which is actually a multipurpose device! It serves as a bluetooth headset and as a remote control for the phone. It's integrated into the phone, so you won't lose it. And that is just the tip of the iceberg of what the phone is capable of!

Sadly, Mozilla is not planning to release such a phone. But do you like it? Would it replace the dominant iPhone? And more importantly: would you buy one?

Those Crazy French!

Guys, take a look at this video. It’s about this tennis player, apparently named Jimmy Connors, who has quite his own style of winning a game.

Though, I can hear you say: “That is not a legal shot!”, “This is fake!”, “He shouldn’t have worn such long socks!” and “His dance is totally gay!”. But, take notice. This video is from the 1990’s. Back in those days, those things were perfectly normal to do. People danced like that all the time. It was a part of life. His clothing is like Lady Gagas clothing is right now, but in the 1990’s (which means: people thought it sucked). And this video is obviously not fake, because in that time, people had just invented fire, the wheel and the Rickroll. It’s also worth noticing how he nearly drops his racket at 0:07, while trying to be cool, but still manages to catch it.
